At Trinity Mount Barker we take our responsibilities to look after and teach the children and youth in our care very seriously.

We run a number of programs at TMB that cater for children from babies, all the way through to those entering adulthood.  Each age and stage presents unique challenges and opportunities to teach our young people about Jesus and ensure that we offer a caring and safe environment for all involved.

In order to help create and maintain safe spaces and ministries, Trinity Mount Barker has adopted the ChildSafe protocol for all ministries involving children and youth.

The ChildSafe policies and procedures govern all aspects of these ministry areas, from recruiting, training and managing of leaders, to behaviour policies, to event management.

All leaders (staff and volunteers) who work with children and youth are required to submit a Volunteer Application Form, apply to serve in a particular role, supply at least two personal referees and obtain a current National Police Check.  All this is completed BEFORE  joining our team of leaders in any of our childrens’ and youth programs.  Training for staff and leaders includes the areas of Child Safe Environments and Responding to Abuse and Neglect (Mandatory Reporting).

If you would like more information on ChildSafe practices please speak to a member of staff or go to childsafe.org.au
