At Trinity Mount Barker we believe that the Bible is God's Word to us today and that through it God speaks to the issues and challenges of life.

As well as hearing the Bible read and explained in our Sunday gatherings, we think it's important to read the Bible individually and in small groups. Currently, there are six groups meeting across the region on different days and times of the week. Bible Study Groups meet weekly.

These are our current Bible Study Groups (as at March 2015):

Day Time Location Description
Tuesday 9:30am-11:30am Mount Barker Church Office Ladies Bible Study with creche
Tuesday 7:30pm-9:30pm Hahndorf Mixed Aged Group
Tuesday 7:30pm-9:30pm Littlehampton Mixed Aged Group
Wednesday 7:30pm-9:30pm Nairne Mixed Aged Group
Wednesday 7:30pm-9:30pm Strathalbyn Mixed Aged Group
Thursday 10:30am-12:30pm Mount Barker Ladies Bible Study

For most of the year, Bible Study Groups study passages in parallel to the current sermon series, usually looking at passages or topics the week before they are covered in the Sunday service.  For two sermon series each year, Bible Study Groups are encouraged to work through a different topic or part of the Bible that is of particular interest to the group.

As new members join our church, we encourage them as a first step to do the 4 week God, Church and Me course.  This is a 4 week new members Bible study which introduces the biblical and theological framework for life and ministry in our church.

Resources for personal or group Bible study are freely available in the Bible Studies section of our resources library.
